Dive Training Course Overview:

Important Note:Trainees must have completed the 'Sport Diver medical declaration form' BEFORE undertaking any practical training or partaking in any practical exercise (including a try-a-dive)

'Snorkel Diver' Training Programme
Prerequisites: None
Theory Lectures:
· S1 - Introduction to SCUBA Diving and Basic Equipment
· S2 - Ears, Sinuses and Air Filled Spaces
· S3 - Respiration and Circulation
· S4 - Protective Clothing
· S5 - Accident Avoidance and Rescue
· S6 - Basic First Aid, Artificial Ventilation and Chest Compressions
Optional - Pool Sessions (1):· Pool Session 1:
1) Fin 100m normally, followed by 100m of duck-diving once per length and swimming 5m underwater
2) Tow another snorkeller for 50m
3) Simulated snorkeller rescue (ditch weight belt, tow casualty for 50m whilst giving AV, land casualty and continue AV for 2 minutes, place casualty in recovery position)
